Introducing the PLINTH Coin Ring - Stratonikeia

Thank you for always reading. I'm Kadokura from Hephol.

This time, I'd like to introduce a ring made with a powerful Zeus coin.

PLINTH - Zeus / Stratonikeia (K18YG)

A coin of Zeus, the king of the gods, issued in the ancient Greek city of Stratonikeia.

Stratonikeia was a significant center during the Hellenistic period, influenced by both Greek and Persian cultures.

This coin, dating from around the 2nd to 1st century BC, features a profile of Zeus wearing a laurel wreath on the obverse, and on the reverse, an eagle, Zeus's sacred bird, with its wings powerfully spread.

A distinctive feature is the image contained within an incuse square (a square punch mark).
Incuse squares are believed to have been used to prevent counterfeiting and, in the early stages of minting technology, to increase durability by deeply striking the impression.

Zeus, the king of the gods, was often used to symbolize divine authority, strength, and the legitimacy of the issuer.
The Zeus depicted on this coin, with his magnificent beard and expression, exudes intellect, power, and dignity.

Following the intentions of the time, the coin is surrounded by two layers of metal, creating a frame-like embellishment.

The ring is made in size 9.
Because the coin is slightly elongated, it sits well on the finger, and the arm of the ring stands out more, allowing you to appreciate the structural beauty of "PLINTH," which mimics a temple column.
